My, what a year this has been!
If you had asked me what my goals were for the coming year on January 1, 2016 I would not have known what to say, besides desiring to be a good steward of this blog and the community that rallies around both A&D and our beloved Signed, Sealed, Delivered. But God, "...infinitely able to do more than all we ask or imagine," chose to do so much more than that.
With 214 posts, 287,000+ page views across 121 countries, 3 cast interviews, 1 personal interview and 1 incredible set visit, there's no question A&D exceeded any and all expectations for its first full calendar year in operation. What I still struggle to articulate even as I write this post is the personal, offline, impact the work here has had on my life. In a year marked by dissension and so much ugliness in the world, I witnessed, both online and offline, the infinite amount of love and goodness that still exists. It was this outpouring of love, from across the pond, to the hills of Tennessee and across the U.S. and Canada, to a magical lot north of Vancouver where the awesomeness that makes this blog possible actually happens, for which I will remember this year. The people, the kind words, the surprises---it almost seems too much for one person. I remain delightfully overwhelmed as I recall all the moments that comprise this rather vague, yet at the same time all-encompassing, description. And I have every single person reading this right now to thank for that---so thank you.
And to my "Secret Weapon" in Whose Name all the work of A&D is taken up, Who makes His Presence known daily---online and off---and revealed Himself to me in so many new ways this year, another debt of gratitude is owed, for the day I lose sight of this Truth, I firmly believe A&D will cease to exist---and I might very well end up in a wilderness...
So here's to 2017---it sure does have a tough act to follow!
Cheers,
~C
