About Alameda & Downing

In the original Signed, Sealed, Delivered  film, the local paper credited the Denver Main Branch at "Alameda and Downing for their superlative service and a highly efficient dead letter division" in exonerating an innocent person and reuniting a couple.

The intersecting street names always stuck with me, so when I decided to create a blog, there was no question what I would call it. 

The blog was inspired by my love for the POstables and recognition that there is a lot of love for this show out there that deserved a permanent home in the digital space. Thus, Alameda & Downing was born.

Fun Fact: The real intersection of Alameda & Downing is actually NOT in the Denver metro area. It is actually a 4-way streetlight with a Starbucks. I dare you to use Google Street View and see what it looks like for real!

In its first days in existence, this blog was blessed to have Martha Williamson share the God story behind the real Alameda & Downing, which you should take some time to read over on her website.

About Signed, Sealed, Delivered

Signed, Sealed, Delivered is the genius of Touched By an Angel Executive Producer Martha Williamson.

It centers on four postal visionaries with unique talents and a love for the written word, which they use to deliver letters late, but somehow right on time.

Signed, Sealed, Delivered aired as a two hour back-door movie pilot in the Fall of 2013, continuing in the 1-hour series format on Hallmark Channel in the spring of 2014. In the Fall of 2014, Signed, Sealed, Delivered moved to the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Channel, moving back to a 2-hour installment format. For Christmas aired in November 2014, followed six additional films (From Paris With Love, Truth Be Told, The Impossible Dream, From The Heart, One In A Million and Lost Without You) in 2015 and 2016. Higher Ground and Home Again aired in 2017, followed by The Road Less Traveled in February 2018 and  To The Altar in July 2018. Hallmark eventually green-lit an additional installment, the filming of which was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Signed, Sealed, Delivered: The Vows We Have Made recently wrapped filming and will premiere on October 17, 2021 on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.

I'm Chandel, and I'm a millennial living in the United States.

If you hadn't already figured it out, I'm obsessed with the Hallmark Original Series, Signed, Sealed, Delivered. I love the concept, the characters, and the actors who play them. The stories are incredible, celebrating life in all its complicated beauty. Writing and storytelling have always been passions of mine, so combining my loves and putting them towards a purpose seemed only appropriate---this blog is a product of that fusion.

The site launched on June 5, 2015 and it has been a crazy, amazing and blessed ride ever since. A&D is a little bit of everything for everyone---the casual fan leaves a hardcore #POstable, and even the most hardcore #POstable leaves having learned something.
