The result does not surprise me as everything that transpired in Higher Ground set the wheels in motion for what happened in To The Altar. Both great films but Higher Ground was a catalyst for all our Postables.

Higher Ground to me had so many emotional scenes in many areas. The music from Keb Mo that fit into all the scenes with the words of the songs,to the proposal of Norman to Rita, the emotional scenes of Shane and Oliver, the loving then the leaving and the return to the ending of the movie. So many power moments in that movie.

Higher Ground was a roller coaster for the viewers’ emotions. It started out so wonderfully for Shane and Oliver but then she is immediately whisked away to DC by that guy we love to hate, Steve Marek. We have the sweetest proposal ever with Norman and Rita. We don’t know until the very last minutes whether or not Gabe and Hattie will ever be reunited. Oliver goes after Shane, they have a wonderful but heartbreaking encounter in DC, and Shane finally comes home. On top of all that, Marta Williamson throws in the humor of “Passion, Posoli, and Poker!” and Burner phones!! Oliver is really being stretched!!
