It's a privileged tradition here on A&D to get access to the scenes we didn't see here in the U.S. This gift is from one of our POstables cousins in Australia, who made a special digital delivery for all of us!

Spuds & Surprises

Between Steve's rude interruption of Shane and Oliver's date, and NoRita contemplating the unfortunate circumstances was a great scene in which Papa O'Toole adorably counseled the potato parents on next steps and Oliver tried, and failed, to keep it together. In light of Shane's abrupt departure.

A Word Kept

There was nothing better than seeing Hattie and Gabe reunited, but what we didn't see is the couple thanking the POstables for following through on their promise, which Rita handled like a real pro.

Omg that Oliver telling the team Shane was gone was heartfelt and heartaching as well they should have had in USA verison international people are so lucky to get more hefty dose

International versions are the best, and so very grateful for #POstables that send them. Both clips are sheerly awesome, of course, my favorite is Joe giving Rita, and. Norman advice on how to raise their spud! Thanks so much.

I wish the scene with Joe had made it into the US version! I do understand the constraints they have to deal with when editing -- but the look on Norman's face when Joe mentions babies is priceless! & the heartache when Oliver tells them Shane is gone breaks my heart.
I've watched SSD since the series started, but just discovered this blog a month ago & am enjoying it so much. I started back at the first post & read a few every day while I have my morning coffee (after I read the current post - & vote of course) - a fun way to start the day! Chandel, you do a wonderful job! I'm in awe of your insights & your writing - it has added so much to my enjoyment of these wonderful movies. I really love all the behind-the-scenes info you bring us, too, & the video clips. Thank you so much for all your hard work - it's much appreciated. (& thanks to everyone involved with putting together the voting clips -- great work!)

When Oliver reaches for his pen and then tells everyone that Shane isn't coming, my heart broke all over again for him.😢 Thanks for posting these scenes.

I also wish they would have kept the scene with Joe, Rita and Norman. That scene was so sweet to see. I really enjoyed it. Thank you for letting us see it. It is so hard to see beautiful scenes like this not make the cut, but I understand time constraints. My heart also went out to Oliver. I am SO happy the movie ended the way it did.

Oh, that scene with Oliver is so sad. Would have been wonderful to see in the US version but so glad for the #POstable friends who forward these on for the rest of us to view.
