Welcome to Cast Appreciation week! This week on the blog it's all about Kristin, Eric, Crystal and Geoff because we love them and why not celebrate them? Also, we're all needing something to keep us occupied until Sunday---Truth Be Told is only a few days away from airing!
Fun Fact #1: Eric Loves Doing Carpentry To Unwind.

Not going to lie, this little tidbit is the direct result of a Google search specifically for "Eric Mabius fun facts." And what it returned led me to this little bit about his love for carpentry. If you follow him on Twitter, this isn't a surprise to you. He builds stuff---a lot. And he probably wears Carharrts when he does it (long story).
Of course you know him best for putting together that porch swing as Oliver. No wonder he seemed so comfortable. The world makes sense---even at 2 am. But I encourage you to keep an eye on him in Truth Be Told, you never know when you might see Eric, buzz saw in hand, putting that hobby to good use... |
Fun Fact #2: Kristin chooses a perfume for every character she plays. Yes, Shane has one.
Not only does she look good, she smells good, too.

We may have just finished celebrating her birthday, but it's Kristin who gave us the gift this time.

While I haven't had the chance to venture to my local Nordstrom to try the seemingly delicious combination, I was able to track down Blackberry & Bay and Red Roses on the Jo Malone London website. Feel free to holler if you end up trying it out for yourself---I'd love to know who else is motivated enough to follow these kinds of leads!

Fun Fact #3: Crystal & Geoff Are As Tight Off Screen As They Are On For A Reason.
They hang this tight in real life, too.

There are a ton of cast interviews pre-season 1, but one interview stands out for what it reveals about Crystal and Geoff's connection that reaches all the way back to childhood.
Apparently Crystal and Geoff not only grew up in the same small town, at the time of the interview they also lived literally a block away from each other---and probably still do. Did I mention they also shared the screen together in Primeval New World for about 13 episodes? So if you were thinking the energy between them was pretty seamless, these are likely contributing factors. I encourage you to read this interview, you'll definitely learn some things! |
Fun Fact #4: Geoff Didn't Do A Single Non-Network Interview About SSD, But He Was In The Interview.

You might remember this film for the hoopla it caused with North Korea, eventually forcing the film to be released both in theaters and online at practically the same time. What you probably didn't know about this film is that our beloved Geoff had a role in it as a character named Cole.
I never saw, nor do I have any plans of seeing The Interview, so I have no idea what exactly Geoff's role looks like. All I know is that I found something particularly entertaining about the fact Geoff didn't do a single pre-season 1 non-network SSD interview, yet he appeared in a film called "The Interview." #GoFigure |
