It's the age old question, asked since seemingly the beginning of time: Is the Signed, Sealed, Delivered theme song real? Well I finally have the answer, Postables. And I have it from Captain Awesome--our very own James Jandrisch! Remember that he gave us the scoop about "Tu Me Rende Fou" earlier this week. |
So it goes like this:
"An original 15 sec theme (not part of a larger song) was needed specifically for the series . Normally I would have loved to produced this but at that time our turn around was as tight as ever and I was just way too slammed with the score.
So Martha (my hero) stepped up and wrote the lyrics , music was by Marc Lichtman (who worked previously with Martha on Touched by an Angel). Dave Genn did the production and arrangement with Daniel Wesley on vocals."
Wait? Martha, what?! "...stepped up and wrote the lyrics..." God has managed to create a woman who is literally capable of ANYTHING. I am seriously running out of words to describe Martha and the awesome she embodies! Even James feels compelled to remind us once more that she is his hero. On the other hand, you now know that the SSD theme song really is only 15 seconds and while there was a desire to maybe record something more substantial, there's a good chance it's probably because he was busy writing that killer "The Treasure Box" score. Just a thought.... Enjoying Music & Lyrics, ~C |
