Honestly, this is me trying to see how close I can get when relying almost exclusively on putting together the most scarce and disparate pieces of information to create a story!
Ready? Let's do this!

The shot is accompanied by two more photos waiting to tell a connected story all their own.
Clowning Around
Here's some potential evidence:

Collision Course
I'm thinking it's that mailbox Eric is standing in front of in the accompanying photo. Here's another look from another shot taken by the obviously proud business:

Easy--- an accident. Here's my theory:
Remember Nick Purcha's cryptic comment about the role he'll be playing in SSD4?

Who wasn't safe when they drove? It's unclear---but I'm willing to bet it was Craven the clown behind the wheel of that truck! In the course of the accident, he hopped the curb, hit the mailbox, and it ended up in the middle of the café.
Also, the crew cleanup took a little longer than expected, causing the Harvest Store & Cafe to remain closed one more day than anticipated---car crashes are probably pretty messy. [Not to mention they also put in a false wall and replaced all the tables and chairs---but that's for the hardcore observer!] So if Nick isn't the one driving, where does he fit into this potential accident? My thought is that Craven's character was distracted behind the wheel of the truck for some reason, but when he put his eyes back on the road he realized he was about to hit on-coming traffic. I posit that Nick, on a dirt bike, was the on-coming traffic. Nick gets hurt and ends up in the ICU--where we know the crew was filming thanks to Eric & Kristin! |

As for the destroyed mailbox, there's a chance whatever letter becomes the focus of this installment was recovered from that mailbox. Perhaps a letter from Oliver's days as a postal carrier got dislodged as a result of the accident and it has been sitting there for ten years? Who knows, maybe Purcha's character mailed it just before the accident?
While this doesn't dig so deep into the actual potential content of the letter, Martha did say that this film is "very much about love." So do keep that in mind, for whatever it's worth at present! And take the hairline analysis with a grain of salt--- I'm pretty sure it's not a real thing!
Hopefully this got the wheels of your imagination turning a bit. I would love to hear anything in this post that might have triggered an idea for you. Feel free to leave that in the comments!
Still Thinking,
