Sometimes I wonder if some cast members should audition for an episode of The Vampire Diaries (TVD)...

It was a weird pattern I hadn't really noticed until recently, but it keeps cropping up in hilarious ways, and mostly committed by Kristin and Crystal.
There are two possible explanations:
1. They find their co-stars---and each other--- so delicious and lovely they could eat them up, OR
2. They have aspirations of appearing on The Vampire Diaries.
Regardless, as I've learned, no one is safe---especially from Kristin!

But sometimes it's the boys (Eric) who aren't safe from the girls....

Of course, Eric doesn't really seem to mind. In fact, he seems to enjoy the shenanigans. And for some reason neither leading lady has tried snapping a pic with Geoff doing---well, whatever it is they're doing! haha
Then again, as well all know, Geoff's in league of his own...
Anyway, if I had to nominate two cast members to audition for TVD, I would choose Kristin and Crystal--they've had a little practice. And something tells me more of these photos probably lay dormant on their phones and in the iCloud where I can't get to them.
What I'm really interested in, however, is why photos like these even exist? What's the joke here? Is it even a joke? And who exactly started it?
My money is on Kristin---she's the ringleader of the group for all things silly.
Yet another reason why we love her---and this cast!
