Today he shares with us a beautiful piece to which he has a special connection---but I'll let him tell the rest in his own words:
"Couldn't have another premiere without sending you a track!
This one isn't by me though-just had the privilege of performing it.
In fact this is one of the first pieces I ever learned on piano as a kid.
Satie never told us why he named it as such and we truly don't know its historic meaning. But I identify it with the wonders, hardship and innocence of youth. And so very fitting for our story.
There are a few musical gems out there that made me aspire to be lucky enough to write music for a living as a young man.
This piece is certainly one of them.
Thanks Erik [Satie]."
Having already seen the movie, it's definitely a perfect pick for the scene in which it's featured. Listen closely for it during Signed, Sealed, Delivered: To The Altar. And, of course, make sure you tune in and set your DVRs for July 15 at 9pm EST for an unforgettable installment!
We're sooooo close, POstables! Can't wait for you to see the latest installment!
Listening,
