Can you think of a single Signed, Sealed, Delivered premiere that hasn't been preceded by a musical hint? Thanks to composer extraordinaire, James Jandrisch, we've been "spoiled" with more insight into that French song in From Paris With Love, the truth about the series theme song, the "Sunrise" in Lost Without You, a celtic classic from Home Again and an "out of this world" hint from The Road Less Traveled.
Today he shares with us a beautiful piece to which he has a special connection---but I'll let him tell the rest in his own words:
"Couldn't have another premiere without sending you a track!
This one isn't by me though-just had the privilege of performing it.
In fact this is one of the first pieces I ever learned on piano as a kid.
Satie never told us why he named it as such and we truly don't know its historic meaning. But I identify it with the wonders, hardship and innocence of youth. And so very fitting for our story.
There are a few musical gems out there that made me aspire to be lucky enough to write music for a living as a young man.
This piece is certainly one of them.
