Hopefully you've already heard the good news about Signed, Sealed, Delivered: One In A Million, but in case you haven't, you can always get caught up with A&D's comprehensive set scoop.
Speaking of scoop, you're probably wondering whether or not this post will constitute spoilers. Think of the below as an enhanced version of the current, publicly available, film teaser. I will link cast with characters and plot points as possible. Proceed with caution...
Since it seems this latest films picks up where From The Heart ends, I thought we'd pull together anything and everything we know about Montaldo's, from its people, to its possible place and purpose in the upcoming films.
Let's start with who we know we'll be seeing around the joint:
I am willing to bet she plays "Nikki" to Nolan Funk's "Graham." Remember that Graham is a "handsome and talented young man...a singing waiter at a popular supper club [Montaldo's?]. He and ... Nikki entertain patrons with amazing duets and have dreams of performing on Broadway some day." This was part of the casting call description I dug up and shared in the advanced spoilers of SSD 5 Scoop You Need To Know. While the casting call lists the role for someone age 35-40--- which Nolan clearly is not --- given that this was a re-released opportunity, meaning they were having some trouble finding someone to fill the role, perhaps they settled on someone exceptionally talented, but a bit younger.

Title Worthy
Given Nikki and Graham's talents, and that the title of this film is "One In A Million," I wouldn't believe it too farfetched to assume we may witness the pair perform the Larry Graham song, or some rendition of it.
That is, assuming, that this title has anything to do with the song at all. I got wise after Impossible Dream to always double-check for corresponding song titles! Also, the lyrics seem somewhat apropos, enhancing its case. We'll truly just have to wait and see! In the meantime, here's the song: |
