Opener
We already knew the international versions of the Signed, Sealed, Delivered films include a different theme song, but this was the first time I'd seen the title sequence refer to it as Lost Letter Mysteries. Of course, I wanted you to have the chance to see it as well!
Norman Picks Up Rita
Suddenly the reference to "bodice-bursting passion" makes sense. While we weren't looking, Rita was living right next to a lingerie store, which poor Norman has the awkward task of trying to not appear interested in while waiting for Rita.
Father & Son
Nothing better than watching these two interact, especially around a campfire. This scene finds Joe and Oliver discussing another aspect of faith, the "still small voice" that gives Oliver the confidence that their current mystery will be solved in its own time.
Shane On Sunday
More Shane is great from any angle, and in this extended scene we get a little more time to appreciate her weekend style as she continues to investigate Topper's letter.
The Rotary Phone
Dialing can be hard, but Kristin makes it look easy in this extended sequence.
Joe's House
In the U.S. version, we don't get to see what Shane says to bring Dale into the mix, nor do we get much of an idea as to how Dale is processing the situation. With this clip we not only get to hear Shane's call to Dale, we get to see a bit more from Dale. One bit omitted here, but included in the U.S. version, was Shane tenderly touching the picture of a young Oliver on the fridge, a minor detail that adds additional depth, which our POstable family outside the country didn't get.
Tomorrow we start digging deeper into Lost Without You by taking a look at the parallels between Topper & Sandy, and Shane & Oliver---you'll be surprised what there is to connect! You won't want to miss it!
Much POstable Love,
~C
